If you enjoy programs like “This American Life,” or The MOTH, you won’t want to miss this intimate night of humorous narratives, touching tales, and poignant personal sagas, as told by some of the area’s best comics, raconteurs and storytellers.

Mature themes and language. Ages 16 and up

Please note: This is not a stand-up show, it is long-form comedic storytelling and monologues, and a great way to see how the comic mind creates.

Presented in the club-like atmosphere of The Mayo Center’s Starlight Room.

is the winner of the 2009 MAC Award for Best Female Comic.   She headlines at clubs throughout the US and has performed in Canada and Ireland.  She is a regular at Carolines on Broadway and has appeared on HBO and Comics Unleashed.  She provides commentary on Fox, ABC, MSNBC.   She grew up in Lake Hiawatha, NJ, where there is no lake. www.MaureenLangan.com  

The Story: Tales from the daughter of a NY City Garbageman

Chip Ambrogio
Chip is a comedian and comedy writer, who has written for The Friar's Club roasts, Last Comic Standing as well as many top headliners. As a writer and producer, has also won seven Telly Awards for use of humor in corporate video and recently starred as "Jack" in the independent film short "Secure". http://chipambrogio.com/

The Story: Chip will read an excerpt form his autobiographical one man show, "The Only Thing That Keeps Me Going; Is Knowing Everyday I'm Closer to Death."

Jane Condon
Jane Condon was voted Audience Favorite-NY on NBC's "Last Comic Standing." She has also appeared on ABC's "The View" and Lifetime TV. She will be in this season's finale of FOX-TV's "24." Starting in May, you can see her one-person show, "Janie Condon: Raw & Unchained" at the Mint Theater in NYC. www.janecondon.com

The story: Jane's unintentional adventures (mostly survival tales) with her two boys.

Eileen Kelly
Eileen Kelly has been seen on Showtime, Nickelodeon and the Today show. She was a semi-finalist in Nick at Nite's "Search for the Funniest Mom in America" and was one of Toyota Comedy Festival's "New York's Funniest Women." www.eileen kelly.com

The story: A first date that started in a see-through bathing suit and ended with blood running down her chin.

 

Fiona Walsh:
Fiona hails from Tipperary and if she had a dollar for every time someone told her it was a long way from there, she'd be a wealthy woman. Writer, comic and actress, she has performed all over NYC, the Caribbean and Ireland and most recently the Mexican Riviera where she performed on Irish Music Cruises. She co-produces a monthly show “Sundays at Seven” at the Irish Arts Center. She's been on the telly and all over you tube and performed at the Galway Comedy Festival in Ireland. Her one woman show "Great White American Teeth" ran for 4 weeks off-Broadway at the Irish Repertory Theatre and 1st Irish Theatre Festival. She won the Warren Adler Short Story Peoples Choice competition which was published on Amazon.com. She’s recently branched out into DJing and enjoys performing live around the city. She loves animals and hates unmanageable sandwiches and strong gusts of wind. www.fionawalsh.com
