Through our Community Engagement initiatives, we continue our commitment to providing creative arts programming to spaces outside of the Theater.

We strive to promote and encourage the development of community arts, foster growth of local artists and musicians, provide community arts activities for people to engage with and enjoy and to promote the inclusion of all members of our community.

Arts in the Community

MPAC brings the performing arts beyond our walls and into the community! Through free concerts, dance parties and arts participation events, MPAC’s Arts in the community programs engage the greater Morristown community in their neighborhoods.

Creative Aging

MPAC is a proud recipient of a Creative Aging Initiative grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Funding enabled MPAC to provide participants at the Cornerstone Family Program’s Social Adult Day Center in Morristown with residencies that culminate in a final art project. This program enables the seniors to work together towards a common goal – fostering a sense of shared purpose – and encourages storytelling by individuals in the group.

Juneteenth Arts Celebration

Juneteenth Arts Celebration is a two-day event that brings together four non-profit organizations to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. This FREE event celebrates the African American community and offers the public access to local artists, food, dance, music, and other festivities at major cultural venues in Morristown and Morris Township.
Partner organizations for this event are Art in the Atrium (ATA), Mayo Performing Arts Center, Morris Arts, and the Morris Museum.

Performing Arts Company

This audition based group of talented teens represents MPAC by performing for non profit organizations, community events, hospitals and fundraisers all over the area. This mutually beneficial arrangement provides free entertainment to organizations while giving the students valuable performing experience and the opportunity to use their talent to help those in need.

PAS On the Road

Our Performing Arts School (PAS) On the Road program brings the arts to students and communities who many not always have access to them.  Partnering with local community organizations, MPAC provides high quality arts and education activities free of charge to a variety of ages and organizations throughout New Jersey.

Arts Access

MPAC strives to make the arts inclusive and accessible to our community. We offer special discounts throughout the year, and partner with select organizations to offer free and discounted tickets that help remove barriers to attendance.
