The New Jersey Photography Forum’s annual “Colorific” exhibit returns to the Art Upstairs Gallery at the Mayo Performing Arts Center, from September 13, 2016 to October 24, 2016.
A Meet the Artist reception will take place on Sunday, September 18, from 3 pm – 5 pm. The reception is free and open to the public.
The annual “Colorific” show explores the importance of color in artistic presentations. All of the images in the exhibit will be photographically based works: film photographs, digital photographs, manipulated photo images and digital art created from photographic images. In each image there will be the use of incorporation of color as a major element in the image.
The works by twenty-one member artists were juried into the show by a peer panel of artists. The show explores the impact of color in artistic images. Works range from traditional photography to abstracts and manipulated images.
Participating artists include Miron Abramovici, Carol Albers, Dorothy Bellew, Martin Bluhm, Ruth Brown, Jerry Dalia, Ralph Greene, Tom Hart, Theresa Hood, Marv Kaminsky, John Markanich, Lloyd Marks, Charlann Meluso, Charles Miller, Kathleen Nademus, Nancy Ori, Phyllis Raffelson, Lisa Redburn, Lynn Ronan, Caryn Seifer and Tom Stillman.
New Jersey Photographic Forum is one of the largest groups in NJ dedicated to providing exhibition opportunities to the photography medium. The organization also provides training for members on how to prepare for exhibiting their works.
