The MPAC Trend Motors Drive-In Concert Series:
Boat House Row: The Yacht Rock Experience

Chill out on a warm summer night to the silky sounds of the best of 70s and 80s soft rock, featuring the music of Hall & Oates, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross, Toto and many more.

MPAC gratefully acknowledges Trend Motors for their generous support of the 2021 Drive In Series.

The Drive-In Series is presented in partnership with the Morris County Park Commission.

In the musical sense, yacht rock refers to the highly polished brand of soft rock that emanated from Southern California between 1976 and 1984. The term is meant to suggest the kind of smooth, mellow music that early yuppies likely enjoyed while sipping champagne on their yachts.  Significant “yacht rockers” include Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Christopher Cross, Steely Dan, Toto and many more.

Boat House Row is:
Caniche Derstine – guitars, vocals
Riley Hamlin – drums, vocals
Mick Hillside – bass, vocals
Pete Mane – tenor/alto saxophones, clarinet, flute, vocals
Kenny Trout – vocals, piano
Cougar Wessex – guitars, keyboards
