We are located in the heart of downtown Morristown, across the street from the Morristown library.
MPAC is a short walk (0.4 miles) from the Morristown New Jersey Transit Rail Station via Pine Street.
We offer pre-paid parking MPAC-operated parking lots at the Presbyterian Church and Verizon building are available exclusively for our patrons.
Please note: MPAC does not own these lots, and therefore not every lot is available for every performance.
Reserved parking can be purchased online at this link, and is typically available 2-3 weeks prior to the start of the month.
Shuttle Service is available from the Verizon Lot for select performances. Refer to the online Preshow Planner for specific details.
Morristown features many wonderful restaurants within walking distance of the theatre. Check out our list of restaurant partners, and let them know you appreciate their support of MPAC!
Reminder: no outside food may be brought into the theatre, so please leave those takeout containers in your car!
If you have any questions in regard to what can or cannot be brought into the Theatre, please contact MPAC.
MPAC has the right to inspect any bags brought into the building.
The following items are not allowed inside Mayo Performing Arts Center:
- Weapons of any kind or type
- Knives or blades of any kind or type
- Flares or Fireworks
- Pepper spray or mace
- Full facial coverings
- Outside food and beverage*
- Illegal drugs & outside alcohol or opened bottles of water or soda
- Cigarettes, vaping devices and other tobacco materials such as pipes and pipe tobacco, cigars and chewing tobacco
- Professional photography equipment
- Audio and video recording devices
- Selfie sticks
- Items with offensive writing or images
- Posters and signs
- Noisemaking devices (Ex. air horns)
- Laser pointers
- Any animal with the exception of a service animal
- Any other item deemed inappropriate or dangerous by MPAC staff
*An exception will be made for medical needs after proper inspection.
All MPAC patrons must go through a brief security screening conducted by our courteous security staff to enter our venue. Please budget a few extra minutes when planning your arrival. Thank you for your cooperation!
MPAC reserves the right to deny admission to anyone who does not undergo security screenings and/or is in possession of prohibited items.
Ticketing
MayoArts.org is the official ticketing site of Mayo Performing Arts Center. We do not work with or endorse any third party ticket sellers except our presenting partners including New Jersey Ballet and New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and promotional partner TodayTix. We do not sell tickets through Ticketmaster, TicketCenter.com, Vivid Seats or any other third party reseller charging more than face value. MPAC now uses All-In Pricing on our website, so that consumers may see the final face value price of our tickets including all fees.
MPAC is not responsible for any purchases made through third party ticket services. If a performance is cancelled, and you purchased tickets via a third-party ticket operator, you must contact them. Tickets purchased from any other source that are deemed fraudulent will not be accepted and you will not be allowed entry.
MPAC is now using All-In Pricing. The prices you see on our website now include all service fees, should they be applicable.
The Box Office can reprint your tickets provided you can verify that you have purchased them. You may also access your tickets at any time via the MPAC app.
All Ticket sales are final; no refunds or exchanges. Artists, programs, dates, and prices are subject to change.
Optional Booking Protect refund protection coverage is available for purchase.
If you are unable to attend an event, you may donate your tickets to MPAC as a tax-deductible contribution prior to the show.
**MPAC Members and Season Ticket Holders (5 performances or more purchased in the current season) can exchange their tickets for any reason and receive an Account Credit to be used towards a future performance. (Exchanges must be made at least 48 hours prior to the start of a performance. Returns are for the face value of the ticket only. Service fees are non-refundable).
Late seating can be disruptive to the performer and to the audience. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the artist and the Mayo Performing Arts Center staff. Patrons arriving late for a performance may be required to stand outside the Hall or sit in a pre-designated area of the theatre until intermission or until an appropriate break allows seating without disruption to the performance.
If a performance goes on even though the weather is poor, the Mayo Performing Arts Center is not required to provide a refund. If a performance is canceled, refunds or exchanges into other performances will be offered. The Theatre will make every effort to notify you in case of a cancellation. Please be certain we have your most current email address on file.
At The Theatre
Concessions are available to purchase in the main lobby and balcony lobby bars. Options include beer, wine, liquor and soda, along with snacks.
No other outside food is allowed; leftover restaurant food and wine cannot be stored at the venue.
Cameras and other recording devices are strictly prohibited and may be removed by the Theatre at its discretion.
Please silence cell phones prior to entering the Theatre, and turn off your screen as the light can be very distracting to other patrons.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center is dedicated to ensuring that all of our patrons are able to enjoy the arts equally. If you have accessibility needs, questions, or concerns, please contact MPAC in advance of the performance you wish to attend and we will assist you in the best manner we have available.
The theatre is accessible by ramps and curb cut-ins. The Main Lobby is all one level, and barrier-free. The balcony is also accessible via elevator to the second floor. If you need special seating arrangements, please advise our box office representatives at the time of purchase.
Assisted listening devices are available upon request. Large print programs are available with advance notice.
Yes! Earplugs are available at the concession stand for anyone who may need them.

Free WiFi service is available at the theatre. Look for the “MPAC Public WiFi” network when you arrive at the theatre.
Balcony Amenities
Our balcony lobby features additional bars and restrooms, as well as our Art Upstairs Gallery. The balcony level can be accessed via stairs, or by the elevator located near Door 4.
Family Amenities
Changing tables are available in all restrooms, and booster seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis for many performances.
When it comes to public safety, MPAC is taking precautions seriously.
The health and well-being of our patrons, members, performers, students, volunteers and staff is paramount. We work to keep our facility a clean and safe environment. MPAC uses a 100% fresh air ventilation system in our auditorium. That means we are constantly pulling in air from outside when heating and cooling our building. Face coverings are optional.

Our air is not recirculated, making for a safer environment when sitting in the Theatre for an event. In the lobby and the box office, we’ve installed state of the art UV filters to kill germs and bacteria. Our theatre is cleaned constantly on show days, and seats are sanitized on a regular basis.
Mobile App
Available in the Apple App Store or on Google Play. Search “Mayo Performing Arts Center” or “MPAC.”
- Download and open the app.
- On the home screen under MY TICKETS, tap “Log in to access.”
- Log in using the same email and password you would normally use to buy MPAC tickets on your desktop computer.
Once you are logged in, access your tickets under MY TICKETS on the home screen, or in the ‘Account’ section (tap the circle icon in upper righthand corner of the app).
Your mobile ticket takes the place of physical tickets. No more paper needed!
Tickets may only be scanned once, whether in mobile or printed form.
All Mobile Ticket barcodes will appear 72 hours before your peformance.
- From the home screen, visit MY TICKETS to view your upcoming shows.
- Tap the show you’d like to share, then tap the yellow SEND TO A FRIEND button at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter the recipient’s email, and select the seat(s) you wish to send. When finished, tap the SEND TO A FRIEND button.
- Tickets will be sent to your recipient via email. Ask them to look for the name “Instant Encore” – our app provider – in their inbox.
Please note: this can only be done 72 hours before a performance when the barcode is present.
Once you are logged in, go to the ‘Account’ section (upper righthand corner) and tap ‘Membership.’
Booking Protect
Booking Protect refund protection is automatically calculated based on your ticket order total. The cost is 7% of your total order.

Patrons may submit a claim directly to Booking Protect’s in-house customer service team via this link, up to 45 days after the event. Documentation or proof of circumstances will be required.
Refunds will be issued via direct deposit to your bank. You will need to provide these banking details to Booking Protect through their secure portal.
No, Booking Protect coverage must be selected during the purchase process.
You will have a 14-day window after your ticket purchase to refund this protection, if you decide you no longer need or want it.
No. When your ticket order is refunded by MPAC because of a performance cancellation or rescheduled event, the amount paid for Booking Protect on that order is not. Your refund will include the face value of the ticket plus MPAC service fees only. Your Booking Protect fee has covered you from the moment you completed your initial order.
Covid-19 is included under illness protection, if the patron or a dependent receives a confirmed positive through a doctor or a laboratory-confirmed test and is required to isolate per current guidelines. Home rapid tests will not be accepted.
Changes of plans are not covered, including travel or social/personal engagements (i.e. weddings or school events). For more complete details on the covered reasons, please view the terms and conditions.
Claims submitted without documentation will not be approved.
If a show is cancelled or rescheduled, MPAC will continue to offer refunds or account credits.
All MPAC ticket sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges, unless you are a member or season ticket holder.

Booking Protect is an optional additional cost, and will refund patrons through the show date and up to 45 days after the show, for covered reasons.
No, Booking Protect coverage cannot be purchased with an MPAC account credit. However, you can purchase tickets with an account credit and still add Booking Protect to your order through another form of payment.
Refund Protection is not needed for Parking reservations. If your plans should change, please call the box office to request a parking refund.
Field Trips
We accept payment via credit card, check, cash, and purchase order. Payment must be received no later than 2 weeks prior to the performance date.
A deposit of 50% must be received no later than one month from the date that you receive your invoice to ensure that your order is reserved; the deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance of your order is due no later than two weeks prior to the performance date.
Yes, once you make your reservations you can change any quantities in your order until your deposit is paid. Once you have paid the deposit you can still change any quantities, however, the deposit itself is not refundable.

Busses will be able to pull up in front of the theater on South Street to embark and disembark. The bus drivers will then be given a number and sent to our designated bus parking lot. They will then be called back for pick up and embarkation after the performance has ended.
We do not have a dining or picnic area on the premises. We are next door to the Vail Mansion which has a large lawn and reflecting pool and a block and a half away from the Morristown Green which is a popular place for locals to picnic at lunchtime. Other than these weather dependent options, we recommend using any of our local restaurants (group size permitting) or eating your lunch while traveling on your school bus.
